The Biggest Boxing Match of the Digital Age

One of the greatest events of our online lives hits audiences online and in-person on May 14th.

The Creator Clash is perhaps one of the most interesting and unique events to come out of the age of content creation and prominent digital figures. As we reflect on the past 17 years of YouTube and the rise of digital creators, only few events have risen to the level of an event like this. Most notably, some of the previous “YouTube Rewinds,” Smosh’s “Food Battles,” and some collaborations with large creators coming together for a video or two.

As a testament to old and new content creators alike, the newly founded “Creator Clash” has a lineup that will remind some of their YouTube past, while also promoting those new to the YouTube and streaming scene. Idubbbz, Epic Meal Time (Harley), Egoraptor (Game Grumps), Hundar (Cow Chop) amongst others will provide nostalgia and fantastic fights to be sure, and creators such as Matt Watson and Ryan Magee, JustaMinx, and Michael Reeves will keep potentially newer audiences engaged.

Brett Hundley (Hundar) shared some of his thoughts on his fight and the event happening Saturday.

“Its very strange to finally be here in Tampa; back in February and March this event still felt like some totally abstract point on the horizon. I expect it to start feeling REAL more and more as I meet people and see the arena and it all starts to hit me. I’m looking forward to the other matches that share a coach with me, Michael Reeves and Odds1Out — it’ll be cool to watch their fights and see my coach at work with them.”

He also shared his thoughts on what fights he’s excited for, and who he’s excited to meet at the clash.

“I’m excited to meet OGs like Harley, and excited to finally see my opponent AB in the flesh. I know we’ll all be pretty distracted but it should still be nice to say hi to some people. I’m also looking forward to Matt Watson and Dad to set the scene as the first fight and of course I’m excited for the headliners. To be honest, I don’t know how much I’ll be watching before my fight just so I can focus, but I’m really looking forward to seeing the whole event play out!”

I’m personally looking forward to watching SuperMega hash it out on some others in the ring, and JustaMinx as well as Hundar get some much needed stress out through their fights.
